This is a live performance of one of my more recent songs. I wanted to make it more visually interesting so I set up an old vintage color wheel that were used to illuminate aluminum Christmas trees. I also did another take filmed from the side. I was going to integrate clips of that into the video but decided against that. I ended up just breaking it up with effects from Windows Movie Maker.

Peace On Earth. Classic Christmas cartoon. MGM 1939.

Peace on Earth is a one-reel 1939 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon short directed by Hugh Harman, about a post-apocalyptic world populated only by animals. Two young squirrels ask their grandfather on Christmas Eve who the "men" are in the lyric "Peace on Earth, good will to men." The grandfather squirrel then tells them a rotoscoped history of the human race, focusing on the neverending wars men waged. Ultimately the wars do end, with the deaths of the last men on Earth, two soldiers shooting each other. Afterwards, the surviving animals discover a copy of the Bible in the ruins of a church. Inspired by the book's teachings, they decide to rebuild a society dedicated to peace and nonviolence (using the helmets of soldiers to construct houses). The cartoon features an original song written to the tune of "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing". According to Hugh Harman's obituary in the New York Times and Ben Mankiewicz, host of Cartoon Alley, the cartoon was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. However, it is not listed in the official Nobel Prize nomination database. Mankiewicz also claimed that the cartoon was the first about a serious subject by a major studio. In 1994, it was voted #40 of the 50 Greatest Cartoons of all time by members of the animation field. It was also nominated for the 1939 Academy Award for Short Subjects (Cartoons).

BREAKING NEWS: FBI False Flag Bombing Attempt? Portland Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Federal prosecutors say a Somali-born teenager plotted to carry out a car bomb attack at a crowded Christmas tree lighting ceremony in downtown Portland on Friday night, but the bomb turned out to be a dud supplied by undercover agents as part of a sting. Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, was arrested at about 5:45 pm just after he dialed a cell phone that he thought would blow up a van laden with explosives, but instead brought federal agents and Portland police swooping in to take him into custody. Federal court documents show the sting operation began in June after an undercover agent learned that Mohamud had been in contact with an "unindicted associate" in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier region. Mohamud is a naturalized US citizen who has been living in Corvallis, prosecutors said. According to a federal complaint, Mohamud was in regular e-mail contact with the "unindicted associate" in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier starting in August 2009. The complaint states that in December 2009 Mohamud and the "unindicted associate" used coded language in an e-mail in which the FBI believes Mohamud discussed traveling to Pakistan to prepare for "violent jihad." The document says in the months that followed Mohamud made "multiple efforts" to contact another "unindicted associate" to arrange travel to Pakistan but had a faulty e-mail address for that person. Last June an FBI agent contacted Mohamud "under the guise of being affiliated with the first associate." Mohamud ...
